The strong growth of the Internet, the advantage of faster networks and the ability to compress content, have prompted research into technological solutions for the distribution of multimedia content.

Companies are trying new ways to interact and communicate with clients, using technologies that enrich the Web with interactive content and quality.

One of the services that is spreading more recently is "streaming", progressive and continuous transmission of audio and video streams and multimedia content.

Thunder Technology develops applications to manage enterprise streaming projects, identifying solutions for the diffusion of communication and multimedia content.

Thunder Technology is able to implement transmission/distribution protocols, such as:

  • Real-time protocol (eg RTSP - Real-time Transport Protocol), application layer, which allows the distribution of services that require real-time transfer;
  • Datagram package transport protocols (eg UDP - User Datagram Protocol), transport layer. No connection-oriented, fast but with little guarantee of delivery;
  • HTTP based on TCP/IP, for the distribution of text files and pictures but not movies;
  • Unicast protocols, to send a separate copy of the media stream from the server for each recipient;
  • Multicast protocols, to reduce data replication (and thus load on server/network) that occurs when many recipients receive unicast streams content independently;
  • IP Multicast Protocols, to send a single stream of media to an audience in a computer network.

Our standards are:

  • H.320 - to allow the audio/video transmission over digital ISDN lines. This allows you to send and receive multimedia content such as video conferencing, video and images. The transmission is digitally, regardless of the speed adopted by ISDN.
  • H.323 - to promote a standard for users of communication sessions audio, video and data over connection-oriented networks where there is no guaranteed quality of service (QoS), as are the IP networks. Through its implementation, multimedia products from different vendors can work together without compatibility problems.
  • H.324 - the international standard for multimedia communication over low bit-rate networks, including 3G mobile networks and PLMN (or H.324M). Provides the foundation for interoperability and quality video, voice and data. This standard specifies methods for the contemporary iteration of video streams, voice and data over high-speed modem connections.
  • T.120 - data conferencing a standard that deals with providing a real-time communication between two or more participants at a conference. Includes additional features for video conferencing, such as electronic whiteboard, chat, file sharing, application sharing.

Thunder Technology operates in the following applications:

  • Multimedia;
